The school was opened in 1961 under the name Kampong Chenor Advanced School. The establishment of this school is in line with proposal 2 and 3 in Rahman talib Report (1961) which is the 2nd proposal reads "To accommodate all primary school students" up to secondary school ", then a secondary school was established. This type of school will offer a vocational course for 3 years, ie students who fail to enter the academic school can be trained to acquire skills in the field of employment. In line with the government's policy of Transformation in Vocational Education, SMVPC will be upgraded to the Agricultural Vocational College (KV) in 2013. In 2013, this KV will start offering eight courses out of the eleven proposed courses. The courses are Crop Agroindustry, Ruminant Livestock Agroindustry, Poultry Livestock Agroindustry, Aquaculture, Agro Mechanization, Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape and Agricultural Product Processing. In 2014, a new course called Floriculture was offered and in 2015, another course was added which is Biotechnology course making the total course offered at KV Agriculture Chenor as of 2015 is 10 courses.
