Besut Vocational College or originally Besut Vocational Secondary School, was first built in January 1986 on a 13-hectare site. Located in Kampong Raja, 13 kilometers from Jerteh Town. The college began operations on February 20, 1989.
By 2013, Besut Vocational Secondary School will officially become Besut Vocational College along with 78 other Vocational Secondary Schools nationwide. These changes involve the restructuring of school administration, reshuffle in the courses offered, study periods and learning sessions that start from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm using the semester system.
As of 2017, Besut Vocational College has a teaching staff of 133 people and 23 staff. Besut Vocational College strives to achieve the vision and mission of the college to produce 'Professional Workers' in an effort to achieve the vision of the country to become a developed country by 2020.
