Institut Kemahiran MARA Sik

IKM Lumut started operating in 1977. It was officiated by Y.B tuan Hj. Abu Manan bin Othman P.P.T, Minister of Industry Malaysia on 23 June 1979. At the initial stage there were only three majors conducted at IKM Lumut. The courses are as follows: - 1. Arc Gas Welding - 15 trainees 2. General Machining - 15 trainees 3. Electricity - 15 trainees LOCATION AND SITE AREA Location IKM Lumut is located in Bandar Seri Manjung. It is located in the settlement area of ??Manjung District Government Offices. The site is 46 acres. ORGANIZATION IKM LUMUT This institute is administered by a Management committee composed of Principals and its members consist of Assistant Principal HEA, Assistant Principal KPHP, Senior Administrative Officer and Course Leaders. The administrative division is regulated by the KPHP Assistant Principal and the academic division is regulated by the HEA Assistant Principal. The institute has also established a Counseling Unit regulated by the Career Counseling Officer. NUMBER OF STAFF IKM Lumut is the second largest IKM in Malaysia with a staff of 245 staff.
