Institut Kemahiran Tinggi PERDA (PERDA-TECH)

PERDA Higher Skills Institute or PERDA Advanced Technical Institute (PERDA-TECH) is an institution that offers various skills training to Malaysian Certificate of Education graduates. PERDA-TECH is located in Bukit Panchor, Nibong Tebal, Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang and has started operating in 1989 known as PERDA Training Center (PLP).
On 16 December 2007, the PERDA Training Center was upgraded to the PERDA Institute of Higher Skills (PERDA-TECH) with a restructuring of the courses and fields of study offered. As an institute of study registered with the Ministry of Education Malaysia, PERDA-TECH has also been recognized as an Accredited Center, Skills Development Department of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to issue the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM). Apart from that, PERDA-TECH has also been recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in the field of study offered as well as from professional bodies such as CISCO, The Welding Institute (TWI) and CIDB. Apart from certificate level courses, PERDA-TECH offers Diploma level courses, namely the Diploma in Welding Engineering.
PERDA-TECH has also held a joint venture program with Terengganu Advanced Technical University College (TATiUC), Kota Bharu Polytechnic, Kelantan and Sabah Foundation College (KYS).
