About Institution
Dar al-Hikmah College (KDH) was formerly known as the Institute of Islamic Studies (IPI). It started operating in 1989 and is the earliest Islamic private college established in Malaysia.
Name change to Dar al-Hikmah College (KDH) effective 1 Muharram 1423/15 June 2002. KDH is under the auspices of Syarikat Bina Ilmu Sdn. Bhd belongs to Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) and Koperasi Belia Islam (KBI).
The establishment of KDH is a continuation of the ABIM tarbiyah and dakwah program which starts from the Islamic Child Care Center (TASKI), Islamic Primary School (SERI) and Islamic Secondary School (SEMI). The goal of KDH is to develop a tradition of knowledge to restore the glory of Islamic Civilization and make Islam a way of life.
To fulfill that desire, KDH provides basic Islamic courses as a compulsory subject of college and combines them with professional / academic programs to produce human resources who are faithful, knowledgeable, skilled, moral, committed and viable.
