About Institution

July 05, 2000 pioneered the first page of the Community College when the Cabinet of Ministers considered the memorandum that had been submitted by the then Minister of Education on the concept of establishment and implementation of Community Colleges in each parliamentary constituency. The Community College serves as an institution that provides training and skills needs at all levels and provides educational opportunities to secondary graduates before entering the labor market or furthering their education to higher levels.

Bandar Penawar Community College (KKBP) was officially opened on March 1, 2003 by boarding at the Kota Tinggi Technical Secondary School building with a pioneer staff of 8 people. Currently, Bandar Penawar Community College is fully operational on a permanent campus with an area of ??25 acres located at Jalan Ungku Abdul Aziz, Bandar Penawar, Johor which is located in the southeastern part of Kota Tinggi, in the small province of Pengerang. In 2018, the Information Technology Certificate program from KKBP was transferred to Gelang Patah Branch Community College (KKcGP). The main role of KKBP and KKcGP is to provide education and training to the local community, including providing opportunities and alternative routes to secondary school leavers and students who have dropped out of the education system. KKBP not only helps to improve the level of skills and knowledge of the local community but also helps to improve their socio-economic level.
