Kolej Komuniti Sik

Sik Community College is one of the Public Institutions of Higher Learning under the Ministry of Higher Education. The main goal of the establishment of this college is to provide opportunities for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduates to further their studies. In addition, the college also provides short-term specialized training to members of the community and the local community to learn skills or improve existing skills. In line with the vision and mission of the Community College, Sik Community College offers courses related to local economic activities to produce trained workers as well as provide educational opportunities at the grassroots level.

Sik Community College started operating on May 1, 2014 in a two-storey shophouse building located at address No. 28-A, Alamanda Business Center, 08200 Sik, Kedah. At the beginning of its establishment, Sik Community College was the Overseas Responsibility Center (PTJ) at Sungai Petani Community College. Starting in 2016, Sik Community College has been operating as a Master PTJ and all matters of Finance, Administration, Services and College Affairs are managed by Sik Community College. The first intake of students at this college is at the July 2015 admission session which recorded a total of 30 students enrolled to follow a full-time course majoring in Certificate of Food Processing and Quality Control (SPK). The first group of instructors placed at Sik Community College is a total of 5 people consisting of a male lecturer and 4 female lecturers. Sik Community College officially received the Director on 1 June 2015 and the entire administrative position was filled consisting of one male staff and 3 female staff.
