The existence of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah Islamic University College (KUIPSAS) formerly known as Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah Islamic College (KIPSAS) is the first starting point towards the development and advancement of Islamic higher education in the state. Its history began on 27 August 1996 when the Pahang State Executive Council approved the idea of ??its establishment. For a start, KUIPSAS accommodates the need for higher education channels for state religious secondary school graduates to further their studies at institutions of higher learning. The recruitment of the first group of 67 students was started upon receiving the decision from the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
This college which is quite synonymous with His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta ?in Billah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar was inaugurated by His Majesty on 16 November 2000 equivalent to 19 Syaaban 1421H. His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang became a symbol and symbol of the glory of this college in the state of Pahang.
