Kuala Klawang Vocational College was initially known as Kuala Klawang Vocational Secondary School (SMVKK). This school was built in 1991 on 43 hectares of land at Km 3, Jalan Titi, Kuala Klawang, Negeri Sembilan. Mr. Arsani bin Kassim was the first Principal of this school who started working on 1 September 1991, followed by the first teacher, Mr. Mustafa Ninggal on 5 September and two support staff, Mr. Mohamad Limat and Mrs. Khatijah Denan on 10 October 1991. The first group of students form four as many as 189 people, started reporting on 17 January 1992. Currently the teaching staff of Kuala Klawang Vocational School is a total of 44 people.
Kuala Klawang Vocational Secondary School (SMVKK) was officially upgraded and renamed on 1 January 1997 to Kuala Klawang Technical Secondary School (SMTKK), with the addition of another course, the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Studies Course by offering three other subjects namely Chemistry, Additional Physics and Mathematics. In addition, the Skills stream course which is the course of Electrical Technician and Electronics Technician of Equipment Industry has also been implemented.
On 6 January 2006, two new courses for the Technical stream, namely the Trade Studies course and the Business Management course for the Vocational stream were introduced in this school. The course for the Skills stream, namely the course of Electrical Technician and Electronics Technician of Equipment Industry was re-implemented in this school in 2008. Then, in 2011, in line with the current changes, Kuala Klawang Technical Secondary School was changed back to Kuala Klawang Vocational Secondary School with introduced Electrical and Electronics courses as a result of combining two different courses namely Electrical and Electronic courses. All subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Additional Mathematics and Electronic Electrical Engineering are no longer taught in this school.
Following the transformation of national education to mainstream the flow of vocational skills as well as change the composition of human capital from oriented academic graduates to graduates of vocational streams in line with the practice of developed countries, once again courses in Electrical Technology, Electronic Technology, Secretariat of Administration and Business Management.
