The Founding Principal was Mrs. F R Bhupalan. Secondary classes (Forms 1 to 5), Sixth Form and A-level classes were conducted and the enrollment increased dramatically with the success achieved by the College.
Due to the growing student population, a new campus was established in Sentul in 1994 and Forms 1 to 5 classes were moved in stages to what is now called the Wesley Methodist School, Sentul. This move was completed in 1999 and Methodist College Kuala Lumpur, Brickfields is now focused on providing pre-university studies, diploma and certificate level courses as a private higher education institute (Institut Pengajian Tinggi Swasta ? IPTS).
In 2000 the Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) programme of the Curriculum Council, Western Australia was added to the GCE A-level, U.K. pre-university studies programme. Both the GCE A-level and AUSMAT programmes have successfully prepared numerous students for admission to overseas universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, U.S.A., Singapore, India and many other countries as well as to local private university colleges.
