Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic (PSA) formerly known as Shah Alam Polytechnic is located on 112 acres of land located in the state of Selangor. PSA is the 8th polytechnic in Malaysia under the World Bank Program and began operations in January 1997. PSA began its first session with 640 students in July 1997.
Its strategic location, along with the commitment and dedication of its citizens, has made PSA Polytechnic dynamic, in line with academic development and infrastructure development. PSA became the first polytechnic with MS ISO 9002: 1994 certification from SIRIM in September 1999 and was later changed to MS 9001: 2000 in 2002.
In 2002, PSA changed its name from Shah Alam Polytechnic to Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic in conjunction with the name of DYMM Yang Dipertuan Agong XI which was completed by DYMM Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on 8 March 2002.
With 6 academic departments comprising the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Department of Commerce, Mathematics & Computer Science and the Department of General Studies, PSA is ready to offer quality courses through professional and trained academic staff.
