Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is a leading innovation-driven entrepreneurial research university in engineering science and technology located both in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia and Johor Bahru, the southern city in Iskandar Malaysia, which is a vibrant economic corridor in the south of Peninsular Malaysia. With over 20,000 students on campus, more than 25% of them are postgraduates. Since the 1990s, the number of foreign students, particularly from neighbouring Asian countries, the Middle East, and Africa, has been increasing, especially in postgraduate programs.
